Ready Jet operation tested for silica exposure

Project:   Industrial Hygiene Assessment of Blasters Ready Jet Demonstration

Performed by:   Bureau Veritas North America, Inc., Health Safety and Environmental Services

Results:   This assessment found no detectable amounts of silica in any of three One Pass operations that involved the cleaning of a single available cement truck.

 

Bureau Veritas performed the following tasks for this project:

  • Measured a single employee (Field Service Representative) during three task-based exposures to total particulate and crystalline silica during One Pass operations.
  • Measured a single employee (Field Service Representative) during three task-based exposures to respirable particulate and crystalline silica during One Pass operations.

 

Employees' exposures to airborne contaminants monitored during this assessment were less than the respective OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) Permissible Exposure Limits (PELs) and ACGIH (American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists) recommended guideline values.
